PREFACE.

The Author’s last publication, “The Equestrian’s Manual,” having metwith so kind a reception from the Press and the Public—one which helooks upon with the greatest gratitude—has induced him to compile forthe use of Equestrians of both sexes the present little Work, in thesincere hope that his humble efforts may, in some degree, aid inobviating the many severe and often fatal accidents, the result, in mostinstances, of inexperience in Horsemanship.
