Mrs. Lattin

What time is it, nurse—now?

Nurse

Close on half-past five.

Mrs. Lattin

(With irritability of a sick woman.) Notlater? Are you sure? It’s so dark.

Nurse

(Soothingly.) The dusk is closing in;I’ll light your lamp.
